This past weekend, I was notified of my acceptance into the Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California's annual show in Palo Alto in July! I'm humbled to be chosen to participate with all the amazing and talented clay and glass artists in the association. Now I have work to do! Stay tuned as I build on my Ocean themes pieces over the coming months. I would love some suggestions on pieces to add. So far I have large platter, serving bowl, tall vase and a pitcher. Please reach out with your ideas!

This is me practicing some hand building techniques for a casserole dish. I’ve been asked recently if I offer classes and I’m happy to say yes. I don’t teach alone though and since I work from a home studio my partner and I take our classes on the road! Please check out @a.h.ceramicart on Instagram or www.ahceramicart.com for more info on classes in Fresno and Clovis California.

Sometimes I forget that there are only 24 hours in a day! You can find me and some of my new holiday work at The Old Town Flea Market in Clovis,CA this coming weekend. I will also be bringing some of these new holiday designs to the Collective 103 in Old Town Clovis. I've changed my web shop around a bit and will be making items by order moving forward. Some of my older work will still be available until sold out. Thank you all for your support! I keep doing this ceramic thing to chill out from life and provide a little fun and comfort to your day :)

This is my little shelf in The Collective 103 in Old Town Clovis. The Collective is just that - a collection of vendors and makers who run their small businesses together. It’s my second month in the store and I’ve started small, but I think that’s about all I can handle at the moment! If you’re in the area stop by and check it out. I’ll happily take suggestions on my display too! Please reach out and give me your best ideas. - Heather

Busy running some workshops and getting ready for festival and market season. Above is a picture of a piggy bank that can be pre-ordered and made custom to your specifications. There’s a link in my site if you’re interested in a piggy all your own!

This bowl is inspired by the blue waters and fine light sands near Orange Beach, Alabama. While I have relocated to California the beaches of the gulf coast still come to mind. I’m also humbly honored to have this piece chosen for an exhibit at the Horton Art Gallery in Stockton, CA coming up in August.

✨ Studio Update: A Mug Made for Mornings This week from the wheel, I’m excited to share a generous-sized coffee mug that’s sure to brighten your day—both literally and figuratively. Dressed in vibrant green tones and layered textures, this piece feels alive with energy. It’s a celebration of bold color and cozy functionality—crafted to hold a bit more comfort than your average cup. As always, thank you for supporting my ceramic journey and bringing handmade beauty into your everyday life.

I've been busy in the studio lately creating peices that make a perfect surface for this simple and happy design. I just love California poppies, they brighten up any space, and I can just imagine a whole field of them! This particular piece is a new version of a carafe I've been designing for function. I'd love to know what you think!
